Taking a Stance
At Run. Coed y Brenin we like to offer quality brands. The brands you see in our shop have been thought out and planned, and researched. They need to fit into a category, need to be high quality, premium, but affordable. We like to offer something different. All of the brands in the shop have a story.
We like to offer authenticity too. We also like to offer a service. A good service. That service is our foundation.
Coupling all of the above together, we are proud to be able to announce our new sock brand – Stance.
Over the last year we have been looking at various sock brands and ranges. It would have been easy to stock a brand that was freely available, across the industry, in most running shops, online or in-store. So we kept looking.
A chance discussion with Simon Freeman from Freestak made us sit up. A US sock brand, high in quality and comfort and unique in design were looking to establish themselves in the UK, across sports, and of course running.
Stance are involved in Lifestyle, Casual and Performance, and list their sports offerings (named the Fusion range) as:
They also work with artists, pop stars and cultural influencers on a project called Punks & Poets
“Stance’s founders saw a category that had been ignored, taken for granted, and dismissed. By breathing life into something that had been overlooked, Stance has ignited a movement of art and self-expression that has drawn athletes, performers and iconic cultural influencers to the brand.”
Though a US brand, Stance is now established globally, and the UK is amongst that growing list.
“By underpinning its creative roots with a relentless focus on technical innovation, Stance is now found in over 40 countries on the feet of those who dare to be different.”
As far as running is concerned names such as Rickey Gates and Anton Krupicka are regularly seen sporting some Stance threads. In the UK testing has been taking place in some of the harshest off road terrain too. Salomon ultra trail / fell runner Ricky Lightfoot has been hammering the Stance Fusion Crew socks for the last few weeks and states:
“I’m loving the Stance socks, probably best I’ve used in recent times. Really comfortable and durable. They wash really well, which is very important to me, as my socks normally come back from the hills covered in mud!”
Technically, Stance really measure up too.
